Curriculum
Students are assessed throughout two semesters through tests and other academic work. Final examinations are held in subjects that require them. Parents receive a mid-semester progress report and an end-of-semester report, with opportunities to discuss their child’s progress with teachers. Each subject is graded from 1 to 100. To pass, a student needs a final subject result of at least 50. In a subject with a final examination, the examination mark must also be at least 40.

Lower School
The Grammar School offers a broad curriculum in the Lower School, designed to develop students’ learning habits which will assist them at IGCSE level and beyond.

Upper School
The Upper School curriculum has a diverse range of subjects at IGCSE, Advanced Subsidiary and GCE Advanced Level, enabling students to create a competitive academic profile in preparation for university entry.

** The Athletic Programme is optional in Class 4 and Class 5.
School Leaving Certificate
Students who successfully complete the seven-year curriculum at The Grammar School are awarded the School Leaving Certificate (Apolytirion) which is fully recognised by the Ministry of Education and Culture.
These certificates are presented to the graduates at the annual Graduation & Award Ceremony held at the School premises in June, by a guest of honour, the Director-General and the Headmaster.
